Had our first appt here yesterday and can’t say enough how well cared for my newly adopted pup and myself were graced with. From the moment we stepped in front office personnel were very friendly and efficient. The tech that took us to exam was very sweet and personable. And last but not least Dr Betts was kind and very knowledgeable and took extra time to answer all of my many concerns. I am so grateful a friend recommended him because we desperately needed this turn around in care. We are so blessed to have this practice in Charlottesville! Marty says Thank You!

Cville Veterinary Hospital is the absolute best. We have had consistently excellent care here for a decade. The staff are warm, personable, well-organized, and clearly experts at what they do. Each of the doctors are wonderful and you can tell they truly care.. we would always leave appointments feeling informed, educated and with peace of mind. We couldn’t have asked for more sympathetic, courteous care during the aftermath of our dog passing away unexpectedly. They handled the situation with grace, discretion and genuine support. We trust them completely and highly recommend you take your fur babies here!!! ❤️

TLDR; caused the death of our family exotic pets and sent us a threatening letter instead of helping us settle our account. Zero stars, do not recommend anyone to bring their exotic pet to this facility. We took two of our beloved healthy pet rabbits here after one began to develop an age-related condition. The staff was friendly. However I was pressured into agreeing to surgery for both rabbits, one to spay a perfectly healthy rabbit and the other to spay and remove a mammary tumor. By the time our surgery day approached, our bunny with the tumor was deemed not healthy enough for surgery but they spayed our healthy rabbit. Despite following their post-op care as advised, my healthy rabbit dropped dead within a week. After calling their clinic to notify, we were told after the fact that this is common. We would have NEVER agreed to surgery nor spent so much money if we thought the procedure would cause the sudden death of our healthy rabbit. We’ve paid out hundreds at least at this point. After the sudden death, our other pet began to decline rapidly as her best friend had passed away and she was now all alone and depressed. We finally decided to bring her in for euthanasia but it seemed due to the stress of the car ride she passed away in the exam room on her own before the procedure was completed. They told us we would receive an invoice for the bill and not to worry. I never received a bill or email for a long time. We always communicated via email instead of phone due to my needs around auditory processing, so I assumed we would get an invoice I could pay online like every other service provider I have ever worked with. Many weeks later, we received a paper invoice in the mail stating our account was overdue. This could not be paid via card and their office was inflexible with our needs for an electronic payment option via email. Now we’ve received a threatening letter from them and a notice that they would no longer provide care to our pets. Even if they hadn’t caused the death of our rabbits, I would not go back to this office for any medical need for any pet, ever. Absolutely horrific service and zero effort to work with families.

I love this place since my first visit. Reception is very helpful and polite, very kind The doctor is absolutely amazing - Amber Roudette !!! She helped my dog immediately. She knew how to solve the problem and now I have the happiest dog in the world. I brought my cat also as well because I truly trust Doctor Roudette. I will recommend this clinic and this doctor to everyone I know. Thank you for such a beautiful experience 💖

My husband and I have had 8 cats and 2 very big dogs (so far). I’ve lived and had pets in Philadelphia, DC, Alexandria VA, Atlanta, and Charleston SC - all big cities with excellent healthcare options for pets. This is the best practice we’ve had by far - the vet techs and receptionists know us by name, always make an effort to fit us in even last minute, and Dr Luzaich is the best vet I’ve ever had (and I’ve had many). She is personable, sympathetic, humane, and so good at her job. We’ve got a bunch of seniors with different complicated issues and there is no one else we’d choose to treat our boys. Underrated, excellent practice in Cville!
